Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro - Porto
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, also known as Porto Airport, is the main airport in northern Portugal and one of the most important in the country. It is located in the city of Maia, about 11 km from the center of Porto.
Opened in 1945, the airport was named after the former Portuguese Prime Minister Francisco Sá Carneiro. Currently, it serves millions of passengers annually and functions as an important hub for domestic and international flights, especially to European destinations.
The airport is known for its modern infrastructure, efficiency, and good transport links, including the Porto Metro, which directly connects the airport to the city center. In 2007, it was considered one of the best European airports in its category.
